Wanted to try my hands with CUDA Programming.
Had to upgrade my old Desktop machine with SSD this week which have been postponing for some time now.
While doing that added the GeForce 1050 Ti that I had it removed to conserve power.
Installed Visual Studio 2022 and CUDA ToolKit. The mistake I did was skipped the driver that comes with the toolkit as didnt want to overwrite the default NVDIA driver that windows had installed automatically.
When I ran my first program from VS 2022 I got the error cudaErrorUnspoortedPTXVersion. Referred the table at https://docs.nvidia.com/deploy/cuda-compatibility/index.html#deployment-consideration-forward
and installed the driver that came with the toolkit and voila my first CUDA program worked!!
